The early 2018 release of God of War isn't too far away, and the latest trailer gives us another glimpse at the combat, as well as the beasts Kratos fights – or in some cases, doesn't fight.
At the beginning of the video below, you can see Kratos and his son avoid an encounter with a nasty-looking brute called a soul-eater. Of course, they can't dodge fights forever, and Kratos is soon bashing skeletal warriors with his ice axe and using objects in the environment (like a hanging lantern) to clear the way.

The rebooted God of War is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4.
